A correction to the above is that EflowersAlive is NOT,DEFINITELY NOT another RELAY ORGANIZATION but is a reintroduction of the most DIRECT system of customer to florist, florist to recipient, how simple is that,just the florist, the customer and the recipient. Every order will be a DIRECT LOCAL ORDER. Relay organisations left to what they know best "orders transferred between florists" which has worked perfectly for over 100years. I have been using the 'Snappy' Florist software for almost a year and I have found it to be extremely useful in my business. I can access any customers previous orders with ease, check previous years sales for a particular week - ie Valentine's - This year I have had the best Valentine's that I have ever had.
I have also had great feedback from my customers when I send them a letter telling them that they have moved up the rewards/loyalty ladder and I offer them a reward/discount based on their total spend.
I have been able to enter a note to each customer regarding their likes/ dislikes, special delivery instructions etc, so that this information is not just in my head but all employees can access this to ensure that we have delivered to the customers specifications/ requirements.
It is a great system, I have previously trialled other POS software, based on retail, even though they were good, they did not have allowances for card messages, recipients and customers details and all the extra information that, as florists, we need to collect.

I just had a look at the EFlora web page and am still slightly confused as to what it is exactly. It was a bit hard to navigate and some of the pages didn't work but if it is what i am thinking and that is to eliminate using a network relay then the web site would be an asset if it was a little more user friendly. Do you join and pay a member fee??

How is EFlora going what are people's thoughts? Have you used it?
I am still using the Eflora - Snappy Florist Manager software- every day - general day to day orders for my regular customers get easier. When I have identified who the caller/customer in the store is I get to my computer and open my "contacts" - select find - enter the customers first or last name or the company name - and all details of their previous orders appear on the screen. I just check who they would like to send flowers to and if they have sent to that person before - I already have all of the details. Just need to add the card message, check for special delivery instructions and sort out the payment details. If it is a NEW customer - same procedure to begin - but I just fill in all their contact details and then continue with the order details. so easy - does not take any longer than writing out an order. A Product list that you can customise to suit your business - then all you need to do is enter the code on the order page and the computer fills in all the prices and product descriptions. ( BQ35, Box, suburbs, etc) - print off Tax invoices - as required and Work Dockets for every order.
I can keep track of where my calls/ customers are coming from - marketing - yellow, white pages, internet, website - referral - walking by - great for test and measure of current marketing and advertising.
I have had great feedback from my customers - I can even send them a letter of thanks for your support, a letter to remind them of a special occasion coming up, or even just to let them know of a new product or service.
At the end of each day/week I can see all my sales and deliveries and how they were all paid for - ( Sales Reports)
This program has helped me to begin systemising my business more effectively - so that we run more efficiently.
