i am a trainee florist from mildura. through my traineeship i will gain cert II in floristry. i found it so difficult to get this traineeship. if the cert II training package were aloud to be reduced to have no practical training it would make my traineeship comletely pointless. can you imagine a florist that doesn't know how to arrange flowers? would you trust someone to arrange the flowers your wedding or for a loved ones funeral if they had only read on how to do it? i think not!!
the training package we have now is good. why change it?

I am at the tail end of my cert II in floristry. I find the current package quite effective in preparing anyone wishing to start a career in floristry. The 'hands on' section allows one to better understand and grasp the theory behind one of the most fundamental and important concept regarding the principals & elements of design. These are the building blocks to becoming a truly qualified florist. Without that ,it is like going for cooking lessons but not tasting the food one cooks at the end and therefore learning from it on how to improve the dish.
