I have been in the flower industry since the mid 90's and run a flower growing business, which also does wholesale distribution of flowers, foliages and sundry items throughout Australia and keep trying to get a traditional flower export industry underway. The first years were extremely difficult, coming from outside the industry, and involved a lot of wasted money, blood sweat and tears. I hope that after this we provide a service and product range our customers beleive are very good value for money. I would love to see a united Australian flower industry - from the suppliers, growers and wholesalers, through to the florists, retail chains and wire services. I think we can all benefit from working as a united industry so we are all better off and better supported from all sides. Towards this aim I dedicate time to Flowers Victoria as an executive committee member (Treasurer in 2008/9) and being on the MIFGS board of directors. If interested in FV / MIFGS please conatct me.
