Did my apprenticeship at Whitehorse Tech as it was known way back when. I was in the second ever intake of apprentices. I have been in the industry for 31 years.I have worked at the shop i am currently employed at for 19 years. Had 2 years off when my husband and i ran a business completely different to floristry. Have never been unemployed as a florist. It is the best thing i ever did after leaving school. We live in country Victoria and love it. Really miss the demo's and special industry nights held in Melbourne during the week. Not possible to travel down and back for work the next day. Do it very occassionally. Crave new ideas and exciting new products.
