It's nice to have a job I don't hate. After years behind a desk, it's nice to switch it up for a workbench full of flowers, leaves, tools, scraps, wires and tape.

I am a florist working at Nambour Hospital Florist in the lovely Sunshine Coast Hinterland. I graduated in August 2009 so I'm still finding my feet in the world of floristry and learning heaps along the way.

I don't have a favourite flower, I love them all. I love variety and I'd get bored if I didn't change it up regularly. That said, I don't share some people's disdain for chrysanthemums. They're cute. If I love anything in floristry, it's colour. Not a fan of white. Not a fan of the all white bridal bouquet either,.... it disappears against a white dress. Why bother?

So that's me.
