Hi all,

I have been a long time lurker on here and I was applying for a role at a beautiful Florist near my home on the Peninsula in Victoria... but the role has been put on hold.

Now I have applied for this role as an apprentice Florist, I just can't even imagine going back to an office job :(

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has ideas on what to do while I am waiting for the role to be re-advertised, or finding a new role.

I have been researching all the Florists in my area and already have a notebook full of notes from the 10+ Florists I have already visited in preparation for the job which is now on hold.

Any tips would be much appreciated. I am really bummed right now, but hoping it still works out and my dream of becoming a Florist will eventually happen.

I hope you find work soon. Usually this time of the year can be quiet ....  around spring trade tends to picks up very quickly!
The best thing I can suggest is to not give up. Maybe even enrol in a TAFE Cert 3 or another respected floral training provider. Alot of florists advertise for apprentices at colleges or by word of mouth....
Hope this helps
Good Luck :)

Thanks Rach, I am hoping the job I was after close to home comes back up again soon.... I really loved the Florist there... Ho hum... I will keep researching Florists and maybe if I don't find anything this year, I will enrol in a course next year.
