Hi, all.  What, in your experience, is the best possible way to care for fresh Phalaenopsis blooms for use in wedding work?

A long lasting flower that should not be refrigerated, probably use some preservative in the water. The seem to dislike air conditioning.

You need to cut the heads of the stem and allow 2-3 hours to drink. Then proceed to wire (if bridal work).

You can use three of four light applications with Design Master Clearlife on the front and back of the bloom as this will stop the petals from dehydrating.

If white Phalaenopsis are going clear you could spray the back of the petals only with Design Master Flat White spray and this will give the orchard a very natural appearance.

When you cut the head off the stem you need to place the stem in a shallow saucer of water. The advantage of this is the flower will hydrate better because there is less stem for the water to go up and they will be less likely to wilt when you use them. As said above leave them like this overnight or if you don't have this amount of time at least a few hours.

Hope this helps
