Dear Flowergoss Florists,

I have recently graduated from the Park Floristry School in Brisbane with a Certificate 2 & 3 in Floristry. I'm now trying to make the transition from student to florist, so if anyone is looking for someone on a part-time or casual basis, please consider me.

During my course, I did volunteer floristry for the North-East Baptist Church, Nundah. I also did a wedding for a friend during the course of my study in order to gain experience and knowledge. While new to the floristry industry, I bring a wealth of useful business acumen. I have worked as an accounts payable / purchasing clerk for several large organisations. Other roles have involved financial reconciliation / policy functions, records management and the biggest challenge of all - MOTHERHOOD.

I have a customer service focus, good time management skills, strong IT skills, patience, warmth, creativity, and a passion for floristry. Some samples of my work are featured on my profile page.

Please e-mail me at anna@annaharris.com if you would like to meet me and discuss the possibility of part-time floristry work.

Yours sincerely,
Anna Harris.

Just a reminder note to anyone who is interested, I am still seeking work on the Sunshine Coast. I have placed my resume with many florists in the area and am keen to learn and build on my existing floristry skills. Please e-mail me at anna@annaharris.com if you would like me to send you a copy of my resume or meet you to discuss work on a part-time, casual or full-time basis.

Yours sincerely,
Anna Harris.

I am pleased to announce a big HAPPY ENDING to my job hunting! I completed the first day of my new job at FlowerBiz, Currimundi today. Huge thank you's to Kevin Patterson (aka Kevin the Florist) from Park Floristry School, Ruth D'Henin from Blooms on Bulcock, Caloundra and Ron Tate from Tate's Florist, Kallangur. All three were extremely FABulous and gracious in helping me find my way into the floristry industry.

I've found a job, the challenge now is to keep it. (-:

Cheers,
Anna.
