The .au domain space on the internet is a vital and valuable national resource. If an internet address has .au at the end of it, its registered in Australia and a part of the .au domain space which is regulated by auDA.

To check and see if a .au domain name is available, please use the WHOIS search tool available at Mywebname.com.au
WHOIS allows you to look up the details of a .au domain name and to see if a domain name is available for registration.

Am I eligible to register the domain name
If you are a sole trader, have a state registered business name or an Australian registered company, you are eligible to register a .au domain name. You can read auDA’s policy on domain name eligibility and allocation at Auda.org.au

How do I register the domain name
Once you have chosen the domain name you want, you need to contact a registrar to register the name. Registrars offer differing services and have differing prices, so please shop around to get the services you want at the price that suits Auda.org.au
