Wow. I just read the Itnews.com.au website! I guess we really have to watch the privacy laws and be discreet  when it comes to sending flowers to girlfriends (married or not) or cop being sued! One Million dollars. I would be interested to hear the outcome over this.

Yes Chill - the Great God Google finds some amazing things! i also find alot of links from Thedesignfiles.net  and then find my way to florists or floral design studios or designers who have blogs that link up to more blogs (and i get caught in a tangle of blog bliss!!) heres one such link: Thedesignfiles.net

I'd love to see the physical shops of some of those links in the US

So true about having to hold our tongues sometimes Lou Lou  - there was a particular customer i used to serve at my last job that would buy flowers for his wife on his credit card, and at the same time buy flowers for the mistress with cash, so his wife couldn't trace it.... its heartbreaking to think, but we just have to hold our peace i guess, and not be too judgmental and be grateful that they are at least spending money in our store!
is that unethical?? :flame: privacy laws are there for a reason - but sometimes you just want to say to them "that's not RIGHT"!

Katherine, the www.eflora.net.au site may be a new way of sending flowers to you and many of the newer florists, but I can asure you, as can a number of the pioneering florists of Australia, that the "GOOD OLD FASHION SERVICE" of floristry given by those loyal florists to the flower industry years ago is the only successful way to go. The two most important components of any successful long term floristshop is, the attitude of the florist and their ability to listen to the customer. In developing this site, we have based the "SNAPPY" Florist Management Software and website on these 2 factors of the customers demands over a period of 38 years. "OLD FASHIONED NOW and out of date" are comments from the computer age, but 'people are still people' 'flowers are still flowers", Emotions are still emotions (more so) Flowers still have the same message" What could be more "OLD FASHION" than the giving and receiving of flowers and only the florist has the golden opportunity of bringing a smile of relief to the human race.
Yes it may seem a new way, but the only "new way" in this system is that we have used the latest IT and given EVERY REAL LIVE FLORIST in AUSTRALIA, a Bouquet of Opportunity to show their talents, their service and their willingness to co-operate with one another and their valuable customer and a 100% payment on a DIRECT BASIS. Who else could offer what you can do and what stocks you have in your shop today, but yourself? There are hundreds of dissappointed people who have not received what they expected by not contacting the REAL LIVE FLORIST DIRECT. A personal contact......satisfies!
If your Florist shop can be proud enough to...
SERVICE THE EMOTION.......SUPPLY THE FLOWERS........SATISFY THE SOUL..... then we need you as REAL LIVE FLORIST MEMBER of EFlowersAlive.
Comments and ideas can be sent via the application on www.eflora.net.au in the interest of having a DIRECT REAL LIVE FLORIST INDUSTRY.  CHEERS and be HAPPY like the FLOWERS.........Ron

Throughtout the Flowergoss pages it has been interesting to note the attraction to websites on floristshops, floral designs, beautiful flowers etc but are we closing our eyes to the slow demise of the Genuine Real Live Independent Florist.
