Signage what do you do?

What does your business do in the way of signage? What size is it? What colours do you use?

I was driving home and photographed a local florsts signage. I liked it. What do you think? I think a white background is always a safe way to go. Very easy to read. However, the phone number is very small. This sign works for the business. If I was unaware of the florists this sign does shout "FLORIST HERE"
Belmore Flowers

This florsts is on a main road the Melbourne eastern surburbs. If I was driving past I would see the sign but would it make me pull the car over? (There is a bus stop nearby)

Belmore Flowers Front of Shop

Have you done anything with your signs, eg LED or even used a multimedia projector to shine images of your work onto your window?

Please Post replies, better still upload images of your shop onto your personal page then copy the embeded code (Click the image on your personal page, the embeded code is on the bottom right corner of this page). Click the little tree image in the post reply. Then paste the embeded code there. Press ok and your image will be in the post. GOOD luck.

I have 'Ideal POS' in my store, I find it very good, it tracks loyalty cards & laybuys, it can also make barcodes, the only thing it wont do that I would really like it to do is let me record 'how the customer found me'.

I am a huge believer in the philosophy simple'n'sweet. Use only a few choice colours so anyone even at a super quick glance can deduce what the sign is attempting to promote.
